July 23, 2026, 4:14 p.m. – Sleepy Creek Fire Update: Crews from Roaring Fork Fire Rescue, Aspen Fire, Carbondale Fire, and the Upper Colorado River Interagency team have worked throughout the day, and the Sleepy Creek Fire is now 100% contained.

Evacuations along Buck Point Drive (zone RFF-257) are lifted. The area surrounding the evacuation area (zone RFF-522) is no longer under pre-evacuation.

Cottonwood Pass is open. Please use caution if driving in the area, as crews will continue to monitor for the next few days.
Lightning is strongly suspected to be the cause of the fire.

23 de julio de 2026, 4:15 p.m. – Actualización del incendio de Sleepy Creek: Los equipos de Roaring Fork Fire Rescue, Aspen Fire, Carbondale Fire y el equipo interinstitucional del Alto Río Colorado han trabajado durante todo el día y han establecido completamente una línea de contención alrededor del incendio.

Se levantan las evacuaciones a lo largo de Buck Point Drive (zona RFF-257). El área que rodea la zona de evacuación (zona RFF-522) ya no está bajo preevacuación.
