A student or staff member at Carbondale Middle School tested positive for COVID-19 resulting in the quarantine of almost all of the 8th grade class because the entire grade and its teachers are considered a cohort. 

CMS parents and students received notice that 8th graders would transition to distance learning starting Monday, April 4. This cohort will return to in-person learning on Tuesday, April 13.
